Carole Johnson – Director

Health & Safety/Food Safety/ Fire/Manual Handling Trainer

My hobbies are showing Border Collies (just qualified my two girls for crufts). I love gardening, fitness, coastal walking, and spending time with my children and my beautiful grand-daughter Lola Rose.

The life of a Director running a Company is a very busy one, however I like to keep my feet on the ground and keep my hand in by running some of the above courses to ensure that I continue to work with my clients from all levels of the business. I do confess that I love just chatting to my customers!!!


Sarah Johnson – Course Administrator

My hobbies are walking, cycling and I love socializing with friends and to travel.

My role is to process all of your courses. This includes submitting all of the course paperwork to our awarding body, requesting certificates, and requesting feedback (we love to hear your comments). One this is done I can post out your certificates and cards.



Lesley Collins – Marketing & Renewal Administrator

My hobbies are cooking, going out on nice walks, cycling and reading.

My role is to process all of the bookings, give you a gentle reminder of when you are next due to renew and to keep updating all current client information. I also love working with new customers to ensure they get the right training requirements they need.


Mike Maslin – First Aid Trainer

I am an ex rugby player who loves to go and watch Exeter Chiefs. I love to hike and I am trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro shortly. I enjoy going to the gym a couple of times a week and I love to visit France 3/4 times a year.

My role is mainly teaching first aid, some of the courses that I teach are 2 Day Paediatric First Aid, 1 Day Emergency First Aid, 3 Day First Aid at Work, these are just the main courses, with other, fun courses too.


Gordon Davey – First Aid/ Safeguarding Trainer

My interests are music and sport. Up until quite recently I played my guitar in a Rock band at various gigs in Plymouth and surrounding areas. I also work part-time as a gym instructor and fitness assessor

 My role is teaching first aid, some of the courses that I teach  are 2 Day Paediatric First Aid, 1 Day Emergency First Aid, 3  Day First Aid at Work are the main courses. I also teach safeguarding awareness.


Steve Barnes – Fire/First Aid/ Health &Safety/ Asbestos Awareness Trainer

My hobbies include cycling, swimming and anything water based, such as sailing, power boating. I also like to learn new skills.

My role is teaching First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Health and Safety (we like to make our courses as fun and exciting as we can).


Trevor Vernalls – First Aid Trainer | Moving & Handling/Infection Control/Safe Handling of Medicines Trainer

I am currently training as a disabled athlete to compete in the UK Iron man Triathlon this year. 2.6 mile swim, 112 miles on a bike finished with a marathon. We are all disabled war veterans who love to compete with our Team, True Spirit. We are also planning the Arch to Arc London to Paris Triathlon, including a cross channel swim. When not training, I enjoy competing in fishing competitions, kayak, mountain bike and watch Exeter chiefs play rugby.

My role is teaching First aid, Infection Control, and Safeguarding Medicines, so a nice variety of courses.


Lisa Pengilley First Aid Trainer

My hobbies outside of work are mainly socializing and sport. I play hockey and enjoy keeping fit through walking and cycling. I also enjoy ‘Geocaching’ which is the modern day ‘letter boxing.’

My role is teaching first aid, some of the courses that I teach are 2 Day Paediatric First Aid, 1 Day Emergency First Aid, 3 Day First Aid, at Work these are the main courses, with many others available.
